The amazing Dutch duo Lernert & Sander just finished their latest installation for the Selfridges windows, taking seven of the most tedious domestic appliances and refashioned them into art creations. ?We wanted to turn stock items into startlingly smart footwear. A humorous take on fashion as an ideal escape from the daily grind.?

What looks like an oversize pink Chanel clog, on closer inspection is actually a dishwasher built into the body of the shoe.

Sewing machines are remodeled into a pair Yves Saint Laurent skyscrapers while two slick black irons are transformed into Stella McCartney stilettos.
