The famous house where Cameron Fry lived in the movie “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” and the same house that they drove the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder convertible out of the window was on the market for $2.3 million. The home is in Highland Park, Illinois, a Chicago suburb and was sold last month for $1 million.

This epic cantilever home was designed by James Speyer and actually consists of two buildings. Hanging over the ravine below, the panoramic views are breathtaking and serene.

From the Redfin description: “THE BEN ROSE HOME-a mid-century modern architectural treasure cantilevered over the ravines, the 2 steel and glass buildings have incredible vistas of the surrounding woods Designed by A. James Speyer protege of Mies Van der Rohe & David Haid.
